The Never-Ending Fight for Truth, Justice, and Oleoresin Capsicum It came to me, some time ago, that Tecnu™ (a commercial item that dissolves urushiol and is intended for use against poison oak and poison ivy) should also be effective against capsaicin. I have never heard of anyone else trying this, but I will confess that I haven’t looked very hard. I decided that it would be much more fun to do it myself than to google on it.
